Knowing God’s will, part 2

Please excuse the background noises. Some extra thoughts regarding this message. I do mention the school of the prophets, this was not planned and so I believe that I must add some insights to this topic. I said that one is either called to be a prophet or not. The prophetic ministry is not something that you take up, it is something that you are. No school can make you a prophet. Samuel instituted the school of the prophets. The school of the prophets was there for two purposes. 1. The distribution(Spreading) of religious knowledge. 2. The writting up of the chronicles of religious history. In Samuel’s day there was no open vision; the people had lost the word of God. They had to be taught the word of God again, and the chronicles of the ways of God had to be written and put on record for future generations, and the schools of the prophets was brought into being for this very purpose. A correction that I must make regarding the books of the Bible that Samuel the prophet wrote: Jewish tradition teaches that he wrote Judges and 1 Samuel, until his death at which point the prophets Nathan and Gad picked up the story.
